May Tour Approaches !

Hello again and here is your reminder that the Janaki String Trio will be arriving for their upcoming tour in less than two weeks! This inspiring young group will be performing twice in Sydney and then in Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide. Thank you to everyone who responded to the invitation to be a host - I am very grateful for your generosity and delighted the group will have such ample opportunity to spend time with you.

Tour Details - first the dates and venues!

Gabriel Fauré - Piano Quartet in C minor Op. 15 with pianist Kathryn Selby

Tickets are still available to all the concerts listed above and start from just $27. Please call me on 02 9969 7039 to book your tickets now.

Another chance to be a winner?

The offer of a double pass to see Copying Beethoven was a big hit. I hope all the winners enjoyed the movie - we had 6 winners each from Canberra and Adelaide, 5 from Melbourne and 8 from Sydney!

Now, thanks to Naxos, I have 5 CDs to give away of the recently released CD by the Janaki Trio playing the Vanhal Flute Quartets. This competition is open to anyone who has a ticket to one of our concerts on this upcoming May tour and the first person from each venue to answer this question correctly will win one of these marvellous Janaki Trio CDs - what classical language does the ensemble's name come from? (hint, hint - check http://www.selbyandfriends.com.au/jstbio.html on the website!!!)

Only winners will be contacted and the CD will be waiting for you to pick up at the venue just prior to the concert.

Good luck and I look forward to hearing from you.

One More Thing ...

I am working now on the 2008 season and would very much appreciate any suggestions you wish to make to me. After all, I want to present what you want to see and hear most, along with some new experiences for us all.

I understand my friend Li-Wei is performing with the MSO this week. Don't forget he will be my special guest for the September tour, returning to play an entire recital program of favourites - see this link for details of the program http://www.selbyandfriends.com.au/2007season.html

I hope to see you in May.

Warmly,

Kathy
