Luminaries
11th - 19th May, 2024
Iconic Australian ensemble, the Goldner String Quartet in their farewell season, joins our Artistic Director for this stunning program of gorgeous favourites performed by musicians extraordinaire! Beginning with a rarely played early Mozart Piano Concerto in the composer’s
own arrangement for piano and string quartet followed by Tchaikovsky’s great String Quartet No. 1 in D, the concert concludes with one of the greatest of all piano quintets by Shostakovich. This is a program not to be missed as we say goodbye to an important Australian icon in a special celebration of old friends.
