Triple Treat
25th August - 1st September, 2024
Beethoven features wholly in this fabulous program featuring two of our favourite guest artists – Susie Park and Timo-Veikko Valve. The highlight of this program is a work that wowed audiences when programmed years ago – Beethoven’s virtuosic Triple Concerto in Carl Reinecke’s stunning 1866-67 arrangement for piano trio. The program also includes two piano trios by Beethoven composed at vastly different stages of the master’s compositional output – the charming early work, Opus 11 and the great E-flat Trio, Op. 70 No.2, the sibling to the Ghost Trio. Another amazing program of artistic brilliance and genius to be savoured.
